AC/DC debut single rarity sells for $1,225 on eBay

An AC/DC vintage 1974 debut 7″ single came up for auction this week attracting 27 bids and at close, fetched the princely sum of $1,225.00 AUD ($1,253.32 US) – not bad appreciation for a 7″ single which originally sold for about $1.25 AUD.

These days, AC/DC rarities can more oft than not be found on eBay. From old vinyl records to memorabilia and autographs – eBay has become the chosen method for sellers of AC/DC collectibles to fetch a good price – not least because eBay has a great search system and reaches far beyond the normal confines of a country’s boundaries. The beauty of eBay is that reach – ensuring items catch the eye of global bidders and thus, the possibility of deeper pockets.

Collectors wishing to snag themselves valuable AC/DC vintage items to add to the collection would do well to keep a regular eye out for items, which are becoming all the more rare as time passes.

The single features Dave Evans on lead vocals, who was subsequently replaced in 1974 by Bon Scott. “Can I Sit Next to You Girl” was later re-recorded and included on albums with vocals from Bon Scott.
